Theme Gallery

The Kaleidoscope staff uses a theme with obvious verbal and visual possibilities with “Slant.” A black matte cover features shiny clear silk screen over the theme word and slanted lines while a coral, teal and lime green graphic on white litho occupy the rest of the front and back cover. The opening spreads use mirror image designs that feature slices of six action photographs. The opening copy introduces the theme with specific examples of ways in which “Slant” represents the common denominator for the uniquely different perspectives of the people who make up Lugoff Elgin High School. The dividers carry the theme forward by repeating the graphic from the cover and using photographs in diagonal shapes.
