Theme Gallery

A clever theme takes advantage of the initials of the school name, North Allegheny, resulting in “n/a” or not/applicable. With a marble effect on a matte black cover, the n/a is presented in gold foil while the “ot” of the word “not” and the “pplicable” of the word “applicable” feature a glossy, clear silk screen effect. The opening spread is visually connected to the cover with the marble effect on a black background and the theme featured prominently over a collection of emotion-charged photographs. Opening copy is well-written with numerous references to how the stereotypes associated with high school and teenagers are not applicable to North Allegheny. Throughout the book, the Safari staff has pulled out the n/a from words in headlines.
