With plans for a new school looming in the future, the Catamount staff used the yearbook to showcase all of the positives of the current Crosby High School. And school spirit “stands out” on this school-designed black matte laminate cover. A four-color photograph with a glossy clear silk screen captures the essence of that spirit while the word OUT is embossed on top of the image. The two-spread opening is dominated by a black and white photo that fades into the copy. Six divider spreads are used in Catamount to segment the coverage by season and to help the people section “stand out” from the rest of the book. The dividers utilize a dominant image that is primarily black and white but features “stand out” subjects that are four-color cutouts.
