Theme Gallery

While the “scratch” theme is not new, the execution of “Scratch That” by the Wings staff of Arrowhead Christian Academy – scratch that, Arrowhead Christian Academy Upper School and Redlands Christian Middle School – is nothing short of brilliant. The cover features muted tones of black, gray, purple, red and green layers of scratched photographs of textures found around the school. The name of the book is prominently written in a typewriter font in the top third while the handwritten theme embossed in silver foil occupies the lower third of the front cover. Two opening spreads provide a visual and verbal link to the theme with handwritten caption information and copy that takes us behind the scenes of a school in transition. Besides the opening and closing, Wings uses three other theme spreads inside the book to maintain the flow.
