Theme Gallery

“Radical.” It’s the theme of this book but it’s also the best adjective to describe the cover of Pride 2014. The black matte cover with bright colors, interesting lines and shapes includes a wonderful explanation of the relevance of this word to the book and to the lives of the people found inside the book. Pride uses two spreads to introduce the theme of the book and masterfully uses all of the theme elements introduced on the cover, endsheets and title page – the green box, the colorful symbols, the black background, the circular-arrow graphic. Seven divider spreads keep the theme rolling, each utilizing a strong dominant photo with the circular-arrow graphic focusing our attention on the subject.
