HauberkWings finish first in San Francisco Best of Show

Ten Walsworth Yearbooks schools placed in the Best of Show contest this past weekend at the JEA/NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention in San Francisco, including two who finished first.

Hauberk from Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kansas, placed first in the Yearbook 337 or More Pages category. In the same category, Lair from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in Shawnee, Kansas, placed third; and The Lion from McKinney High School in McKinney, Texas, placed eighth.

In the Yearbook 232 or Fewer Pages category, Wings from Arrowhead Christian Academy in Redlands, California, placed first. Round Up from Austin High School in El Paso, Texas, placed second; Le Flambeau from Notre Dame de Sion High School in Kansas City, Missouri, placed fourth; and Hoofbeats from Burges High School in El Paso, Texas, placed 10th.

Indian from Shawnee Mission North High School in Overland Park, Kansas, placed second in the Yearbook 289-336 Pages category. The Arena from Legacy High School in Mansfield, Texas, placed sixth.

Buffalo from Haltom High School in Haltom City, Texas, placed ninth in the Yearbook 233-288 Pages category.
