“The Goldbergs” gets nostalgic with yearbook superlatives

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

Earlier this month, popular ABC sitcom “The Goldbergs” featured the yearbook prominently.

The show, which is set in the 1980s and follows the funny stories of a Philadelphia-area family, talked about the yearbook during the May 10 episode, “Jedi Master Adam Skywalker.”

Adam, the youngest Goldberg, works on his school’s yearbook staff. His older siblings, Barry and Erica, wonder what they will be voted in the yearbook’s superlatives. They spend the episode pressuring Adam to find out before the book goes to print with unexpected results.

You can watch the episode here at the ABC website.

Does your school’s yearbook still use superlatives? What did you think of the episode? Let us know in the comments below.
