U.S. Senator Roy Blunt to discuss private job creation at Walsworth printing facilities in Marceline

Marceline, Mo. (Aug. 22, 2011) – U.S. Senator Roy Blunt (Mo.) will get a first-hand look at a Missouri manufacturing business that is growing and thriving when he makes a stop on Tuesday at the printing facilities of Walsworth Publishing Company in Marceline, Mo.
Senator Blunt is scheduled to take a tour of Walsworth’s facilities at 1:30 p.m. on August 23, 2011. Afterwards, he will conduct a roundtable discussion with Linn County business leaders, local elected officials, and Walsworth executives to hear their thoughts and concerns regarding private sector job creation and some of the challenges facing local communities in light of the current economic climate.

During his tour, Senator Blunt will have the opportunity to view the operations of a family-owned company that has been integral to north-central Missouri for the past 70 years and continues to prosper, even during the recent difficult economic times. Last December, Walsworth expanded its commercial printing capability by completing the acquisition of IPC Print Services, a commercial printing company in Saint Joseph, Mich. In March, the company announced it was adding $3 million of new equipment to its Printing and Bindery Facility in Marceline.
