Nobody knows a school community as well, or as intimately, as its own students. Using the theme, “You Know,” the J.W. Mitchell staff showed that with the 2016 Stampede. “We communicated the things our students and community know to be Mitchell,” wrote the editors in the book’s colophon. Those little things students knew about Mitchell started right on the cover in the ribbons of text at the top and bottom. Vertical and horizontal lines were a consistent design element, used to draw attention to notes about the school year.
