Possibilities, Vol. 7 has arrived

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

The newest edition of Walsworth Yearbooks’ idea and showcase book – Possibilities, Vol. 7 – is now available and ready for yearbook staffs to find inspiring design, photography and coverage ideas. Staffs can also use the book to jump-start the brainstorming process for their 2018 yearbooks.

Possibilities, Vol. 7 is bigger and better than ever with more than 800 examples from 240 high school, middle school and college yearbooks from the 2016 school year. In each edition of Possibilities, selections that appear in the book represent a sample of the finest work done by Walsworth Yearbooks schools over the past year.

Just like previous editions of Possibilities, this newest edition features some of Walsworth’s special printing effects and capabilities.

Most notably, the cover includes an application of Glow-in-the-Sun ink. When the cover is placed in direct sunlight, within 20 seconds the word “Possibilities” will turn a shade of gold. Embossing, clear silk screen and scuff-free matte lamination are also used on the cover.

Spot UV coating is applied to pages 174-175, a spread that showcases the winners of Walsworth’s 2016 Photo Contest. The cover, endsheets and paper of the book have Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certification (FSC-C004755), which means they come from responsibly managed forests.
