Camp Lonestar DFW

Dates: June 19-22, 2024
Curriculum: Tracks include Beginning Yearbook, Advanced Yearbook, Photography, Writing, Design and Leadership. We will offer a variety of breakout sessions and specialized training for advisers. Attendees will get Yearbook 360 and InDesign technology training. Advisers will get one full day of hands-on photography training - camera settings, composition, practicing techniques.

Virtual Adviser Academy
Location: VirtualDates: June 26-27, 2024
Curriculum: Join us online for adviser-only training at the 2024 Virtual Adviser Academy June 26-27. New advisers will get two days of focused new adviser training, and experienced advisers will choose from a variety of classes over two days. All classes are led by yearbook experts and attendees will leave ready to take on their 2025 yearbook. Tech training in Yearbook 360 - Online Design, InDesign or Photoshop will held online on Aug. 5, 2024.

Northwest Yearbook Workshop
Location: University of Puget SoundCity/State: Tacoma, Washington
Dates: July 8-11, 2024
Curriculum: Join us this summer at the 2024 Northwest Yearbook Workshop to learn the most up-to-date yearbook trends and designs that will have you brainstorming about a book unique to your school. You’ll develop a theme package, create your cover with an in-person artist, learn to provide inclusive coverage and how to market your book. From planning your page ladder, to designing spreads and creating a beautiful cover and endsheets our staff of experts will be there to help you begin to capture the story of 2024-25 in your yearbook.

Yearbook East
Location: James Madison UniversityCity/State: Harrisonburg, Virginia
Dates: July 15-18, 2024
Curriculum: Join us for the Yearbook East Summer Workshop at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., July 15-18. This workshop will focus on theme development, technology training with some team-building and leadership skills sprinkled in. Our hope is that you leave camp with a solid thematic concept and design, a plan for yearbook coverage and develop a marketing and sales strategy. You’ll also experience a little bit of college life - staying at the newest dorm facilities, dining hall and enjoying all amenities of JMU in a smaller, summer environment. We can’t wait to see you all there to make the 2024 workshop the best yet!

Biggest Little Yearbook Camp

Camp Orlando Summer Workshop
Location: DoubleTree by Hilton at the entrance to Universal OrlandoCity/State: Orlando, Florida
Dates: July 15-18, 2024
Curriculum: Our curriculum consists of 12 individual tracks of study, including all levels of design, photography and advising, along with special tracks for theme development and editorial leadership, online design, writing, marketing and newspaper. We also have several breakout sessions so that you don't miss out on any topics that you would like to study. Come and celebrate all that scholastic journalism has to offer at Camp Orlando.

NorCal Yearbooks Workshop

Camp Carolina
Location: Covenant Day SchoolCity/State: Matthews, North Carolina
Dates: July 30 - Aug. 1, 2024
Curriculum: Work with our team at Camp Carolina this summer and discover how to reveal the Heart + Soul of 2025. Work on executing your theme, explore the latest in design trends, refine your photojournalism skills and train with state-of-the-art technology. You’ll also meet with a cover artist to create your best cover yet! Specific tracks include Basic Design Using YB360, Basic Design Using InDesign, Advanced Design and Theme Development, and Photography. Various breakouts will also be offered covering headlines, captions, marketing, and photo editing plus crazy activities to promote team building. You will leave Camp Carolina with your Theme and Marketing Plans in place for 2025. Featured Instructors include Jim Jordan, Missy Green and Samantha Berry. We can’t wait to see you there!
