      "Plain and simple.

      "The second semester came with snow and ice, leading to many snow days since we no longer had AMI as an option.

      "Those seven snow days impacted the length of our school year.

      "An altered schedule was implemented to extend the school day until 4:05 by adding five minutes onto each period.

      "Things have changed."
