Caught Our Eye

Visual and verbal. Clearly the students at North Allegheny had a lot to say in their 2025 Safari theme “Can You HEAR Us?” The light grey background on the cover served as a fitting base allowing the blocky black capital letters outlined in gold to jump out at the reader. The word “HEAR” in the bright gold display font practically screamed to be opened immediately. The opening pages were the perfect visual match to the bold verbal cover message. Page one photos could be “heard” as students cheered for an athlete and a drummer gave it her all. Chronological coverage began with the sounds of roaring rapids from a summer float trip. As the book showcased student voices throughout, it was no surprise the closing mirrored the opening with photos of a soloist sharing his talent and a teammate encouraging another swimmer. We see you, NASH, and we heard you loud and clear.
