My Story

Having been a professional photographer and a former school fundraising consultant, I bring a unique set of skills to help your yearbook program excel. I will teach you and your staff how to use the tools, products and resources Walsworth has to offer. I believe an experience where you feel supported and guided from start to finish will lead to a successful year and a quality publication that delivers on time and on budget.

It is very important to me to be a valued member of your yearbook team. I am extremely passionate about helping our youth learn and expand on their creativity while preserving memories.

Let’s chat about the one-of-a-kind service only Walsworth and I can provide. Together we will accomplish great things!

Hear What People Are Saying

For the past three years, at two different schools, I have contracted with Walsworth to produce our school’s yearbook.  My predecessor had worked with them and was pleased with their service. During that first year, Kirsten Smith patiently and proactively helped me understand the process for both putting together a school yearbook in which we could be proud and in how to order efficiently to keep the costs reasonable for our families. We also had new yearbook advisers, so I was quite impressed with Kirsten’s accessibility and willingness to coach them throughout the entire process. She was very hands-on in learning the production program and in offering tips for creating a great yearbook.

Choosing a yearbook company is no easy task considering the myriad of options at play, but rest assured that the folks at Walsworth Publishing will provide great service and a great product for your students and advisers. It starts with the people – the most important part of the yearbook relationship. Kirsten Smith is the most responsive yearbook representative I’ve worked with in my career. Whether it’s replying to emails with helpful little videos, solving a pesky design challenge or doing anything and everything possible to take something off the plate of a stressed-out adviser, Kirsten is there. She radiates an enthusiasm for helping advisers and students produce the best possible book that is contagious. From classroom visits to arranging special sessions with Walsworth’s top design experts at the national convention and even hosting an amazing one-day workshop for area schools here on the OBX, Kirsten goes above and beyond in providing outstanding customer service.
-Steve Hanf, First Flight High School

Kirsten is unlike any sales rep I have ever worked with. Her warm disposition and true care for yearbooks, the students, and me as a yearbook adviser is always appreciated. Time and time again she bends over backwards to help us out no matter the situation we find ourselves in as we have worked on our publication.  Whenever I have a question, I can call, email or text Kirsten and it is never long before I hear back from her. She has a true passion for making our yearbook the best it can be.

Kirsten Smith provides unlimited support. She checks in with me on a regular basis, is available whenever needed, responds right away and has solutions to any issues that may come up. She makes it a point to meet not only me, the yearbook adviser, but has come to class on more than several occasions to meet with the students, talk about the process of creating the yearbook, related careers and to give hands on training to get us started or on something specific we were interested in. She is my biggest cheerleader and knowing that I have five other classes in addition to Yearbook, she is able to steer me in the right direction in order to be successful.
– Cathy Wright, yearbook adviser, Norfolk Collegiate School, Norfolk, Virginia
