Viva! – an exclamation of support or long life. The students at Vero Beach High School are full of spirit for their school and community, and the choice of “Viva” for the theme expresses that sentiment well. The book packs in a ton of coverage with a clean design that keeps it enjoyable to read. The name of the book is Arrowhead, and small triangles reminiscent of both arrowheads and the play button symbol, angled brackets and long lines with arrows are used as directional accents throughout. Main stories, sidebars, captions and graphics are rich in first-person accounts and quotes, infusing a student angle throughout – no small feat for a yearbook covering 2,700 students plus faculty and staff.
