President’s Collection

The stuff that life is made of – that’s what the 2014 Hoofbeats yearbook is about – and more. The staff worked to cover everything that was important to students, including details that made teen life what it was in 2014. The opening copy is minimal (as is the closing copy), almost like a list that evokes different yet personal memories for each student. The design concept includes strokes and rectangles, with bit-mapped photo effects added to the backgrounds to avoid using plain white. The coverage, from big events such as the homecoming parade and a local outdoor music festival, to personal profiles of a student with 17 pets and an Olympic hopeful, are all told with outstanding photography.
