Use PEP to build your yearbook sales

Written by Aimee Parsons

Put some PEP in your marketing! With digital engagement and marketing at an all-time high, it is more important than ever that you reach parents where they already are – their inbox! Email is proven-effective and one of the best ways to reach your buyers. Walsworth makes it easy for you with our Parent Email Program (PEP). PEP is free, easy to sign up for and directly targets parents, who are your most likely buyers.

The beauty of PEP is we do all the work for you. Our marketing team generates beautifully designed, weekly emails to parents on your behalf, reminding them to order their yearbook conveniently from your yearbook sales page at yearbookforever.com. Emails begin going out in late August and run through the end of June. Once someone orders, they will be removed from these emails for the remainder of the school year, and those who wish to unsubscribe can do so at any time. We send a last chance to buy a yearbook email one week before your final deadline to encourage parents to purchase before it’s too late and offer special ad sales throughout the year and Cyber Monday emails.

We don’t just think PEP is great, we have the numbers to back it up. Schools who utilize PEP have seen an increase in sales, and as you use the program year after year, it becomes more effective because it is training parents to purchase online and reminding them when they may have forgotten.

Worried about your parent information? Don’t fret! Your parent email lists are always safe with us. We will never sell or use the email lists for anything other than promoting your yearbook and ad sales.

To get started with the PEP program, send an excel spreadsheet that includes your parent email addresses, and student names and grades to pep@walsworth.com. Your front office staff or administration should be able to provide this list. If you need help getting your list, talk to your Walsworth Sales Rep.

The best way to market to your parents is to let technology do the heavy lifting. Sign up for the PEP program today. To see other valuable marketing resources available to you, visit our Marketing page.
