Unique yearbook sales opportunities are just waiting all over school

Written by Marketing Staff

As the national It’s Worth It sales contest continues to heat up, tips and unique sales strategies from yearbook staffs keep coming in to the Idea File. Take a look at the latest!

A refreshing idea

The yearbook staff at A.C. Davis High in Yakima, Wash., and their Walsworth sales rep, Cindy Roth, investigated when the vending machines in the school were scheduled to be refilled (which generally turned out to be before school).

They followed the vendor around the school, placing “Buy Your Yearbook” stickers on the bottles of soda before they were put into the machines, and it generated a lot of buzz.

Stuff the lockers

The yearbook staff from Alan B. Shepard High School in Palos Heights, Ill., decided to print fliers advertising the yearbook and hit students with them in a place where they were sure see it – in their lockers.

Plus, some of the fliers were personalized, such as “You’re in the yearbook twice, but you haven’t yet purchased the book!”
