Yearbook success is because of you

Written by Jenica Hallman, CJE

To say that April is a busy month for us would be a major understatement.

Visit one of our printing facilities and you will find our machines running at full speed during every shift to produce yearbook after beautiful yearbook as the smell of ink permeates the air. We’ve come to love that sweet scent because we know it means you are about to finally see and enjoy your finished yearbook after working so hard on it this year.

Ask any Walsworth employee – press operators, customer service representatives, bindery line operators, creative services artists, computer support, quality control, shipping, just to name a few of the people behind the scenes – and each of them will say you are the one who made this possible.

You put your heart into this yearbook and trusted us with your valued treasure. We want to say thank you. We don’t take your trust for granted and work hard each year to prove ourselves worthy of the distinction of being your yearbook partner. It’s an honor to bring your yearbook to life.

We don’t just want to say it though. We want you to hear it directly from the people involved in the process – people who love what they do and know you make it possible. That’s why we made this video to express our gratitude (see below).

“We appreciate you working with us, and to make your imagination a reality is a lot of fun,” Cover Department lead Mike Simons said.

Simons’ enjoyment is something echoed by many employees across our organization.

“What I do is provide you with a product that’s going to last for generations, and my job is to ensure that we have the capacity and the innovation to turn those great ideas into real products. That’s a lot of fun. Thank you for being a Walsworth customer,” Bindery manager Shane Hutson said.

Our family includes thousands of schools and tens of thousands of staff members, and we are grateful for each and every one of you.

“Thank you for joining our yearbook family and entrusting us with your yearbook,” Walsworth president Don Walsworth said.

We’ve been doing this for 80 years, and with your help, we look forward to the next 80 years.
