President’s Collection

It was a year of transition for the Wings staff in 2017-18, with long-time adviser Crystal Kazmierski retiring before the school year and new adviser Michael Klein taking her place. New editors Mady Goss, Clara Prins and Austyn Wilson admitted in the book’s colophon they struggled to find the right theme early in the year before settling on “One More Thing...” as a way students could organize their lives. Handwritten notes and scribbles appeared all over the book – on the cover, the endsheets, numerous spreads – even most of the headlines used the script font Northwell. It all gave the book’s design a personal touch. The staff organized the coverage around personal stories, unique to the year, and the book is highlighted by outstanding photography highlighted the book.
