President’s Collection

The 2016 edition of Hoofbeats was a 60th anniversary book, and it did a wonderful job of chronicling the school year while mixing in nostalgic tributes to Burges’ 60 years of history. The school colors of purple and gold are used prominently on the cover and theme pages. Numerous spreads intermingle present day coverage with images and notes from the past, which provided a fun comparison. The theme, “Things happen,” tied together nicely on the front and back endsheets with the words “things happened.”
