Instead of This, TRY THIS – Planning Your 2021 Coverage
Planning your yearbook coverage is a whole new ball game this year. Previous years may have allowed you to take last year’s ladder and tweak it for the upcoming year, but some schools are completely reimagining their coverage approach. That may sound scary, but it’s actually a great thing!
Another one of Walsworth’s monthly winners from this year’s Big Event promotion – Westfield Middle School in Westfield, Ind. – recently celebrated the end of the year with their own Big Event yearbook signing party.
The Westfield staff won a Big Event prize pack full of marketing materials back in December, and they were able to put them to good use.
Viewpoint School in Calabasas, Calif., was chosen as one of the monthly winners of Walsworth’s Big Event promotion back in February, which won the yearbook staff a prize pack full of marketing materials to be used for a yearbook signing party, including T-shirts, buttons, backstage passes, lanyards and more.
The staff recently held its Big Event signing party and had a great time, so they sent in some pictures to the Yearbooks Blog, which you can see in the gallery below.
The Grand Prize winners of Walsworth’s Big Event promotion, Americas High School in El Paso, Texas, held its yearbook distribution signing party on Wednesday afternoon.
Using the prize money they received from Walsworth, the Americas yearbook staff set up a photo booth, brought in food and drinks, hired a student DJ, raffled off an iPod Nano and inserted six Golden Ticket prizes in student yearbooks.
The yearbook staff at J.W. Mitchell High in Port Richey, Fla., developed a theme for their 2012 book that used an old theater term “Play The Pause.”
It was an interesting, creative theme that the staff put a lot of thought and development into. That’s why they figured it would be a good idea to make a YouTube video explaining the theme, including interviews with the thoughts of students and faculty members.
Walsworth just announced the first group of monthly prize winners in The Big Event promotion they are running this school year, working with yearbook staffs to make yearbook signing parties premiere events.
Just what exactly did September winners Wayzata, Marjory Stoneman Douglas, Chippewa Valley and Warren High School win? They won a whole lot of valuable materials to be used with promoting their own signing party.
If National Yearbook Week has given you a chance to start pondering how you can increase your yearbook sales, a key component you should start thinking about is using customized marketing materials.
Walsworth provides a service for its schools designing customized marketing materials – posters, fliers, postcards. All of them with a school’s colors and mascot, yearbook sales information and custom message.
