The Walsworth Yearbooks Virtual Workshop will take place July 12-16. General sessions begin each at 11 a.m. Central time, Master Classes begin at 10 a.m., and training will end at 4 p.m. Central time on most days.
To give this workshop the feel of an in-person summer workshop, we will include some fun activities. We anticipate that staffs may be able to gather in a group, so many of the activities include group projects and hands-on work. We also encourage your staff to participate in the dress-up days and contests. These activities will begin the highly needed staff bonding we missed this school year.
This workshop is offered free to any school in the U.S. All you need to do is register online. Walsworth will email a link to you for each day’s events. Each breakout class may have handouts for the sessions, and all handouts will be available for printing on Friday, July 9.
New for 2021: Master Classes. Each day, two students from your program will be allowed to register to take Master Classes with some of the top advisers/trainers in journalism today. These classes have a $50 registration fee, which covers both students. Links to Master Classes will be emailed to those who have registered and have paid for the classes.
