Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

The 2015 yearbook of Walsworth Yearbooks school Lake Stevens High School in Lake Stevens, Washington, was recently selected as a Regional winner of the Eska Frog Award for Excellence in the Book category.

Walsworth’s Michelle North, a designer in the Creative Services Department, worked with the Lake Stevens staff to create the unique cover and endsheets for the square book, which featured a sculpture embossed pattern of triangles laid over a colorful photo.

Eska Graphic Board is a worldwide supplier of graphic board and each year the Eska Frog Awards is a competition for all Eska customers, which is judged on creativity, originality and craftsmanship.

“This book was a dream and a labor of love. I am so proud of Michelle, the adviser Emily Chilson and the student staff for working so hard on this book,” said Courtney McClasky, Walsworth’s yearbook sales rep for Lake Stevens. “It is truly a student publication from the cover design and photo to the page design.”
