Iowa Falls-Alden yearbook video reminds you not to blink

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

With the theme for this year’s yearbook, the staff at Iowa Falls-Alden High School in Iowa Falls, Iowa, wanted students to recognize how fast the years fly by and remind them “to not blink or you’ll miss it and to preserve the memories by buying a yearbook.”

The video the staff submitted for Walsworth’s 2012 Video Contest is based on this year’s theme. It includes current pictures of this year’s seniors, compared with pictures from when they were younger.

The sunglasses the yearbook staff is seen wearing in the video will be found throughout the book to help carry out the theme.

You can see the video below, then you can vote for “Don’t Blink” over at Walsworth’s Facebook page by giving it a Like. The video contest runs until Nov. 19, and winners will be selected by a committee of judges based on the following criteria: message and appropriateness to theme, creativity, entertainment value, viral nature as determined by the number of video Likes on Facebook and technical prowess.
