A custom marketing boost just for your yearbook

Written by Marketing Staff

A new customized marketing service provided by Walsworth this year is helping schools all over the country give a lift to their yearbook sales.

By simply placing orders using an online form at walsworthyearbooks.com, schools can request custom posters, fliers, postcards and other promotional materials from Walsworth using their own school’s colors and images of their own students.

The customized marketing materials have become wildly popular and more yearbook staffs have begun to use them with each passing week.

“This service gave us very professional sales flier PDFs that we used to advertise our ads and dedications, and one to advertise yearbook sales,” said Marc Fine, the yearbook adviser at Shrewsbury High School in Shrewsbury, Mass. “They were nicely designed. They were both attractive and functional.”

The customized marketing ordering form can be found at a link on Walsworth’s Marketing Help page, along with a PDF of a catalog of all the materials available. Then during the ordering process, yearbook staffs can provide all the essential information, along with school colors and mascot, and can upload their own images to use on the materials.

For Fine, a first year adviser, the service has proved to be extremely valuable.

“The service has been a definite plus, and we will absolutely use it again,” said Fine. “It allows us to present a consistent look and feel and strengthen our visibility.”

Along with the assistance being provided through the customized materials, Walsworth is also providing marketing support to its yearbook staffs through the Key Events program. Walsworth schools can log in through Members Only and set up special “key events” at their school in their customer information form, for which Walsworth will provide extra email marketing support.

Examples of these “key events” would include Homecoming, big football weekends, dances, or any other well-attended event where yearbook sales might be successful. Then, the week of the event, Walsworth will send out professionally written marketing emails to the list of contacts that the school provides, promoting yearbook sales at the event.
