The yearbook staff from A.E. Wright Middle School in Calabasas, Calif., was the latest to enjoy some local news coverage on their 2014 book this week.
The Acorn newspaper paid the school a visit to write about this year’s A.E. Wright book and its use of augmented reality, thanks to Walsworth’s Yearbook 3D platform and the Aurasma app. Calling yearbooks like the A.E. Wright book “technological wonders,” the article explored the staff’s decision to enhance its coverage with the new technology.
Adviser Lisa Hatfield told The Acorn that the 2014 A.E. Wright yearbook has 40 trigger images sprinkled throughout the contents, which will provide students with hours of viewing and allowed the staff to provide a variety of extra coverage.
“I feel like it’s something different, something new, something that hasn’t been done before and something our yearbook class is really proud of,” said eighth grader Cindy Vardanyan.
