Victoria West staff celebrated National Yearbook Week in style

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

The yearbook staff at Victoria West High School in Victoria, Texas, had a blast celebrating National Yearbook Week over the past several days.

The Yearbook Week festivities started with a dance party last Tuesday.

On Wednesdays, the staff often wears pink like their favorite movie “Mean Girls,” so last week they decorated the ceiling with phrases from the movie that relate to this year’s yearbook theme.

A cookie cake was brought in on Thursday. To cap things off on Friday, the staff had a CMYK photo scavenger hunt. Items the students had to find for the scavenger hunt included a picture with the mascot, a person buying the yearbook and a selfie with a random person.

As you can tell, Victoria West got in the spirit and made it a weeklong party!

“We had fun celebrating each day and still got quite a bit of work done to meet our deadlines,” said Victoria West yearbook adviser Jennilee Swanner.
