Photo Spotlights start with some school spirit

Written by Aimee Parsons

As a new regular feature in the Yearbooks Blog this year, we’re going to take a closer look at some of the best images that were submitted to us from 2016 yearbooks in our Photo Spotlight.

To get the Photo Spotlights started, let’s take a look at the image that was selected the winner of the School Spirit category in Walsworth’s 2016 Photo Contest, which you can see above.

The School Spirit category shows the meaning of school pride displayed on the sidelines, in the stands, at practice – by anyone not competing in an athletic event.

This student took a lot of time to prepare for the game, and you can almost feel the pride and energy radiating from him.

The balance of the subject in the photo, along with the background of the team, also makes it a great image. Kara Dry from Edmond Santa Fe High School in Edmond, Oklahoma really captured this student’s immense spirit and pride.

Awesome job Kara!
