Other photo web sites

Written by Bill Hankins

Let me list several other sites you might want to check out:

  • National Press Photographers Association:
Find great discussions, information on jobs and ethics and their gallery of the Best of Photojournalism.
  • National Geographic:
    Great examples.
  • Sports shooter: Discussions can be boring, but they offer valuable profiles on photo equipment and an annual contest.
  • Photobetty: Good examples, plus inspiration for young women entering the field.
  • Jim Richardson Photography: I used to tell my students that if Richardson, a National Geographic photographer, could find wonderful photo stories in Lindsborg, Kan., a town of 3,000, they could find great stories in a school of 2,000 people.
