Minooka yearbook staffers take the plunge

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

Earlier this month some yearbook staff members at Minooka Community High School in Minooka, Ill., went through some valuable staff bonding and raised money for a great cause when they took part in a Polar Plunge fund-raiser in Lake Michigan.

To help raise money for Special Olympics Illinois, 18 members of the staff were among the masses who took a cold dip into the water on a chilly morning, as this article in the Morris Daily Herald recounts.

The Minooka staff ended up raising the third highest total among the 26 teams that took part in the Polar Plunge, and said they plan on making it an annual staff event.
