JEA/NSPA Convention returns to Anaheim this week

The 2019 JEA/NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention travels to Anaheim and the land of Disney this week, and Walsworth Yearbooks will be there in the middle of the action.
The Hilton Anaheim, which is mere minutes away from the front entrance of Disneyland, will be the home of the convention and where you will find all the activity.
Exhibit Hall
The Exhibit Hall will be open on Thursday and Friday, and you can’t miss the Walsworth Yearbooks booth.
Yearbook staffs will have the chance to take pics around our two Insta-worthy photo ops – our giant “YBK Life” sign and enormous stack of yearbooks fashioned into a window.
Elsewhere in the Walsworth booth, staffs will find the button-making station, our game area (featuring giant-sized Jenga and Connect Four), a Yearbook AR demo area and, of course, the book-browsing area where you can kick back, relax and browse through our collection of yearbooks.
Ask Mike, Chat with Jim
Our yearbook experts – Jim Jordan and Mike Taylor, CJE – will both be at the booth in Anaheim, meeting with yearbook staffs to offer critiques, advice and talk anything yearbook.
On Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., Taylor will even be recording a “Live from Anaheim” episode of the Ask Mike podcast.
Win a mini-fridge
You get the chance to win something awesome simply for stopping by the Walsworth booth. Whenever a yearbook adviser or staffer engages with any area of the booth, that adviser gets signed up and entered into a drawing to win one of two fully-stocked mini fridges for their yearbook room.
The mini fridge drawing will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday in the booth. Winners don’t have to be present to win.
But even beyond the mini fridge drawing, we’ll be giving away lots of stuff. All advisers will receive an invitation in their registration bag inviting them to the Walsworth booth to get a $5 Starbucks gift card. The first 150 who do – score!
We’ll have more stuff – candy, posters, we already mentioned buttons up above. If you will be in Anaheim this week, we can’t wait to see you at the booth!
