Damascus staff creates a Splash of Life for video contest

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

Over the next several weeks, we’ll be featuring entries in Walsworth’s 2012 Video Contest here in the Yearbooks Blog.

The first entry comes from Damascus High School in Damascus, Md., and is called “Splash of Life.”

It’s a stop-motion video, using Skittles to spell out a message. It used more than 700 photos and took more than 12 hours to create.

You can vote for the Damascus video by visiting the Walsworth Facebook page and clicking Like on the “Splash of Life” video entry. The video contest runs until Nov. 19, and winners will be selected by a committee of judges based on the following criteria: message and appropriateness to theme, creativity, entertainment value, viral nature as determined by the number of video Likes on Facebook and technical prowess.
