Yearbook staff from South Africa enjoys long trip to JEA/NSPA

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

A big Yearbooks Blog salute to adviser Kaitlyn Leach and her staff of yearbook kids from the American International School of Johannesburg in South Africa who made it all the way to Minneapolis this past weekend for the JEA/NSPA convention.

The group made the 36-hour trek from South Africa all the way to Minnesota, all in the name of yearbook. That is dedication!

By the time I got a chance to briefly chat with Leach and the students at the Walsworth booth on Friday afternoon, they were still a little weary from traveling. But they were very excited about hitting sessions on photography and design, and getting fresh ideas to take back home to their school.

And, of course, also on the agenda was a trip to see the Mall of America and multiple trips to Target!
