Walsworth Yearbooks booth the spot for fun with a purpose in Seattle

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

Yearbook advisers and students attending the JEA/NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention in Seattle kept the Walsworth Yearbooks booth hopping with activity on Thursday and Friday.

Staffs were drawn in by a new attraction in the booth – a game area that included giant Connect Four and Jenga games. A snippet of how popular the game area has been could be seen in this Facebook Live video done on Thursday by Walsworth’s Mike Taylor, CJE, during a spirited game of Jenga. (Note: even more of Mike’s wildly entertaining videos from the booth can be found at the Walsworth Yearbooks Facebook Page.)

Once there, students hung around to relax and browse through Walsworth’s enormous collection of yearbooks for ideas.

Jim Jordan, adviser at Del Campo High School, met with visiting advisers to talk yearbook and help them learn the benefits of Walsworth’s Adviser Mentor Program.

Later on Friday, a drawing will be held to find out who wins two fully stocked mini fridges. We’ll have the results right here in the Yearbooks Blog.
