Kansas City, Mo. (Aug. 11, 2011) – Walsworth Publishing announced that Steve Blair has joined the company as Vice President of Yearbook Sales. Blair comes to Walsworth from Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, where he was the National Director of Sales.

Blair holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Missouri, and comes to Walsworth with more than 18 years of sales experience at Ghirardelli and consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble.

“Steve has had a very successful career in sales management, recruiting and training,” said Don Walsworth, President of Walsworth Publishing. “He is bringing significant experience and a fresh perspective to our company, which I believe will help us reach our growth goals. I’m very excited to add Steve to our sales management team.”

Blair will be responsible for setting strategy and direction for Walsworth’s national salesforce. He will also be a member of Walsworth’s Board of Directors.

The move to Walsworth will be a return home for Blair. A native of Kansas City, Mo., he will be based out of Walsworth’s Sales and Marketing office in Kansas City. It will also be a return to the world of yearbooks. More than 20 years ago, Blair served as the photography editor on the yearbook staff at Raytown High School in Raytown, Mo.

“I know personally the value and benefit of preserving life memories, and I believe there is no substitute for what a yearbook can do to capture the important steps in our journey,” said Blair. “I am excited to get back into schools and understand what customers need to have the best experience and create award winning yearbooks with Walsworth.”
