Walsworth Enhancements now available to support the new InDesign CS5

Written by Marketing Staff

In April, Adobe unveiled the latest version of its page layout software – InDesign CS5 – allowing yearbook staffs to utilize the new advanced features in building their 2011 yearbooks.

Walsworth was ready for the rollout of CS5. With the new school year under way, Walsworth became the first yearbook publisher to provide full support of InDesign CS5 with its full set of yearbook-specific software Enhancements.

“We’re right in step with Adobe’s latest release of InDesign,” said Don Walsworth, president of Walsworth Publishing. “All our Enhancements are ready to go and are fully compatible with CS5.”

CS5 comes with several new features over previous versions of InDesign, which combined with Walsworth’s plug-ins, continues to be a powerful tool for yearbook staffs.

Many of the new features in CS5 are specifically designed to let users do more work in less time. With InDesign CS5, users receive simplified object selection and editing, a new Layers panel that closely resembles the one in Photoshop and the ability to track text changes right in an InDesign document.

The Walsworth Enhancements – from Image Placer to Panel Maker and everything in between – are much like CS5 in that they are developed to make yearbook work more efficient.
