The winner of the Feature/Portrait category in Walsworth’s 2014 Photo Contest will provide you with inspiration!

Congratulations to Andrea Samano from Reagan High School in San Antonio, Texas, for her portrait of the student in headphones.

As Andrea’s description said, “Let the music inspire you through amazing headphones, let them encourage you and never give up. Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is that quiet voice at the end of the day saying ‘I will try tomorrow.'”

Andrea wins a $100 Visa gift card and a pizza party for the yearbook staff at Reagan.

Winners were selected by a committee of judges based on the following criteria: quality of photo (25%), appropriateness to category (10%), photography rules followed (25%), creativity demonstrated (15%) and viral nature as determined by the number of Likes (25%) on Facebook.
