Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

The winner in the Photo Illustration category of the 2014 Photo Contest caught a candid, behind-the-scenes moment before a school musical.

Congratulations to Ashley Cefali from Armada High School in Armada, Mich., for her image “True Characters.”

As Ashley described, “Two students prepare to get ready for their opening show of Oklahoma by becoming one with their character.”

Ashley wins a $100 Visa gift card and a pizza party for the yearbook staff at Armada.

Winners were selected by a committee of judges based on the following criteria: quality of photo (25%), appropriateness to category (10%), photography rules followed (25%), creativity demonstrated (15%) and viral nature as determined by the number of Likes (25%) on Facebook.
