Braden receives Certified Journalism Educator designation from JEA

Overland Park, Kan. (Jan. 16, 2014) – Elizabeth Braden, communications editor for Walsworth Yearbooks, has obtained the Certified Journalism Educator (CJE) designation from the Journalism Education Association (JEA).
Braden worked for a number of years as a reporter and editor, most notably for United Press International and Knight-Ridder Financial News. She also worked in marketing before beginning her career with Walsworth in March 2003. Among her duties, she is the editor of Idea File, an informational and educational magazine for yearbook advisers and staffs published twice during the school year. She also edits Idea File Extra, the app version of Idea File magazine.
JEA offers both Certified Journalism Educator and Master Journalism Education designations. The purpose of the designations is to promote professionalism in scholastic journalism.
