West Virginia yearbook staff starts video coverage project

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

The yearbook staff from Wahama High School in Mason, W.V., was recently featured in the local newspaper and on TV for new video coverage they are adding to this year’s edition of the book.

Along with the printed book, the students are producing video coverage of various events and classes around the school and uploading it to a website called “YouNews.”

At the end of the year, they’re planning on including a CD of the videos in every yearbook.

Has your school’s yearbook staff every tried an idea like this? How did it work out?
