Walsworth’s online Theme Gallery now updated with 2012 yearbooks

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

Walsworth’s Theme Gallery, located in the Showcase area of walsworthyearbooks.com, now includes images from 15 new 2012 yearbooks.

Walsworth updates the galleries in the Showcase area each year to serve as idea generators for yearbook staffs, and also as a way to show off some of the best work done by its schools.

Each Theme Gallery entry contains 8-10 images from the chosen yearbook, with descriptions why the particular theme was effective. Images can also be downloaded as PDFs, and shared on Facebook.

Allison Staub, the yearbook adviser at one of the schools featured in the newest Theme Gallery – Westfield Middle School, said the staff was thrilled to be included because theme was an emphasis for them with the 2012 book.

“We devoted a lot of time to learning about what makes a good theme,” said Staub. “We did a theme project where students worked in small groups to develop and present a theme to the class, and then they voted on what they thought would be the best one.”
