Overland Park, Kan. (Oct. 24, 2013) – Walsworth Yearbooks announced that it will be continuing its 50 Scholars program by once again partnering with JEA and NSPA to sponsor 50 scholarships for students to attend the upcoming Fall National High School Journalism Convention in Boston, Nov. 14-17.

Walsworth will be paying the registration fees to attend the convention for 50 scholarship recipients from the Boston area, who were chosen by the convention’s local organizing committee.

Students were asked to submit an application form and provide an essay explaining why they wanted to attend the convention and how the scholarship would help them.

In addition to having their registration fees paid, the students will be invited to a reception and receive T-shirts at the convention. The group will also be recognized at the opening night keynote address on Nov. 14.

During the convention, Walsworth will be providing coverage of the 50 scholarship winners on its YouTube page, Facebook page and Yearbooks Blog.
