Walsworth schools earn 10 YEC Sweepstakes spots

Kansas City, Mo. (March 4, 2008) – Students at four Walsworth customer schools earned 10 of the 24 sweepstakes awards in the 2007 Yearbook Excellence Contest sponsored by the Quill & Scroll Society.
Arrowhead Christian Academy in Redlands, Calif., led the Walsworth schools with six sweepstakes winners. Other Walsworth schools with sweepstakes winners included Shawnee Mission East High School in Prairie Village, Kan., Shawnee Mission North High School in Overland Park, Kan., and Carmel High School in Carmel, Ind.
Judges selected 119 national winners representing 13 states, with two sweepstakes winners being chosen in each of the 12 categories. All winners receive National Gold Keys and winners who are seniors have the opportunity to apply for one of the Edward J. Nell Memorial Scholarships.
Schools competed in one of two enrollment divisions in the 12 categories. The annual competition is open to students whose schools are members of Quill & Scroll.
