Written by Marketing Staff

Kansas City, Mo. (Nov. 1, 2010) – Possibilities, Volume 4, the latest edition of Walsworth Publishing’s unique, eye-catching yearbook idea book, has been completed and is now available.

With more than 600 examples from 187 yearbooks across the country, the 288-page Volume 4 is the largest edition of Possibilities. Some of the finest yearbook work done by Walsworth schools in the past year was selected to appear in Possibilities.

“What makes the Possibilities book special is the way it allows us to honor so many yearbook staffs, whose hard work often goes unrecognized in their own schools,” said David Massy, marketing services manager for Walsworth. “An appearance in Possibilities means the yearbook was one of the best we published last year.”

Possibilities bookThe theme of Possibilities, Volume 4, centers on memories and the vital role that yearbooks play in preserving them. During the creation of the book, a panel of advisers were polled via email and asked for some of their favorite school memories. Their stories appear throughout the book.

The book includes two showcase sections, Theme and By the Book, which include a synopsis for how those featured staffs went about creating their yearbook, along with a sidebar where the adviser selected their favorite spread from the yearbook.

The rest of Possibilities includes examples from the traditional sections of the yearbook, including Student Life, Academics, Sports, Organizations, People, Images and Cover Gallery.

“Staffs that use Possibilities as a resource are getting ideas for themes, design, coverage,” said Massy. “The fact that their work will be used as inspiration for other staffs is just another one of the rewards for the yearbooks appearing in Possibilities.”

Possibilities also demonstrates several of Walsworth’s printing capabilities, including a litho cover, which has a die cut, hot foil, embossing, debossing, deluster lamination, a headband and clear silkscreen. It also includes a rollout tip-in that spotlights additional yearbooks that used creative cover applications.

Each school featured in Possibilities will receive a complimentary copy of the book. If you are interested in obtaining a copy, contact the local Walsworth yearbook sales representative in your area.
