(July 15, 2010) – Five student entries from Walsworth yearbooks were among the 17 winners chosen in Adobe’s 2010 Yearbook Design Contest, including the Grand Prize winner.

A yearbook spread designed by Helen Dinkel from Shawnee Mission East High School’s Hauberk in Prairie Village, Kan., won the Grand Prize, and took home a laptop computer equipped with the Adobe Creative Suite software.

Four additional entries from Walsworth yearbooks won Honorable Mention honors, including Kate Kulaga from Shawnee Mission East’s Hauberk; Haerin Ma and Vanessa Thai from Franklin High School’s Pride in El Paso, Texas; and Cameron Denuyl from Zeeland East High School’s Stepping Stone in Zeeland, Mich.

Winners were chosen from approximately 600 entries. The contest, sponsored in part by Adobe, judged yearbook spreads designed using Adobe’s InDesign software.
