Yearbook advisers and staffs from across the country arrived at the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles on Thursday for the start of the JEA/NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention.

With well over 3,500 attendees already registered at the early bird deadline, large crowds flocked into the exhibit hall when it opened on Thursday afternoon.

Visitors to the Walsworth Yearbooks booth got a chance to watch photos, videos and demos of Online Design on the giant wall of technology – a giant 80-inch screen, surrounded by six 32-inch screens.

Students and advisers took the opportunity to kick back and relax in Walsworth’s book browsing area while they looked for ideas and inspiration, while others enjoyed drawing in the Walsworth-printed coloring books being handed out in the resource area.

The sessions were scheduled to begin on Thursday night with Pulitzer Prize winning filmmaker Jose Antonio Vargas delivering the opening night keynote, and the full schedule of sessions starting on Friday morning.
