There’s even more yearbook terms where Includitude came from

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

Hopefully by now you’ve heard about Includitude, Walsworth’s theme for this school year. If not, you can learn a little bit more about it over in the Idea File area.

Yearbook staffs who attended a Walsworth workshop this summer likely got an early start at learning the concept of Includitude and how to bring it to their book.

At the Northwest Workshop a few weeks ago in Tacoma, Wash., Walsworth Area Sales Manager Howard Dusek asked yearbook staffs to come up with their own yearbook term and definition and present it during a general session. Here’s what they came up with. Needless to say, all of us at the Yearbooks Blog love the creativity!

  • Priturkable – Pride, proud, Turks (school mascot), respectable
  • Enthusitivity – The act of enthusiastically being creative
  • Insanitude – The insanity of your adviser sending you by yourself to workshop and having a positive attitude about it
  • Craziture – Capturing the crazy at your school
  • Collabimaginique – Collaboration, imagine, unique
  • Swagtastic – Being so full of swag that what we do is fantastic
  • Togetherated – The act of being dedicated to create a memorable yearbook together
  • Bodonkulicious – Bodacious pictures and ideas, redonkulous school pride and delicious flavor
  • Braineate – Taking our brainstorms and turning them into creations
  • Incuriotive – The art of being imaginative, but having the capability to be informative and curious
  • Creatagrophy – The study of being creative, or combination of being creative and photography
  • Unidepentistic – An artistic person who stands out all on their own
  • Uniquive – Uniquely imaginative
  • Acrevescent – The state of ever increasing awesomeness. Example: Sherwood High School’s publication director is acrevescent.
  • Crestride – Creative story with tons of pride
  • Memortivity – Using our creativity to create memories
  • Imagivation – The process of being imaginative and innovative
  • Bequile – Influence with flattery
  • Storography – Telling a story through photos
  • Unistorify – Telling stories to unify our experiences throughout the year
  • Pinking – Positive thinking
  • Posivation – The act of using imagination in a positive way
  • Investidedication – Dedicated to being investigative and curious
  • Picapture – Pictures that capture the whole year
  • Excoverage – Exciting coverage
  • Diversinign – Designing a diverse book
  • Innotivity –  Innovative creativity

And the winner:

  • Crunititoledgtourful – Creative, unique, artistic, knowledge, imaginative, resourceful, colorful
