The School Spirit Photo Contest winner will make you want to jump

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

The entries in Walsworth’s 2013 Photo Contest showed us that there is a ton of spirit out there. Of course, that showed up the most in the School Spirit category, which is where we’re revealing our next winner.

That winner is Jacqueline Gonzalez from Graham High School in Graham, Texas, who captured a fun image of a football player and a member of the band in mid-air celebration.

Here was Jacqueline’s description of the entry: “This is a picture of a band member and a football player who side bump after every halftime, before the football player returns to the field to finish the game.”

Jacqueline wins a $100 Visa gift card for her photo and a pizza party for the Graham staff.

The best photos were chosen by Walsworth and the number of Likes on Facebook.

Winners were selected by a committee of judges based on the following criteria: quality of photo (25%), appropriateness to category (10%), photography rules followed (25%), creativity demonstrated (15%) and viral nature as determined by the number of Likes (25%).
