The fantastic adventures of Yearbook Wally

Written by Evan Blackwell, CJE

Meet Yearbook Wally. Wally is your normal, All-American high schooler who loves finding new stories and loves seeing new places.

Wally loved yearbooks more than any high school kid in the whole world, and he spent hours working on his school’s yearbook. Then one day, during a frantically busy deadline, a pile of yearbooks fell and Wally was squished flat between them, earning him the nickname “Yearbook Wally.”

Miraculously, Wally survived and is sporting the slimmed down look you see today. Now, Yearbook Wally will be heading out on his first great journey this week with Walsworth – to the JEA/NSPA Spring National High School Journalism Convention in Portland!

All week long, you will be able to follow the adventures of Yearbook Wally as he travels to Portland, takes in the sights at the convention and meets new friends.
